Our Winter MapRuns are a series of hour-long events with headtorches: you’ll run around the towns of Gloucestershire to score as many points as you can by visiting virtual checkpoints.
The series starts with a twist in Tewkesbury next Wednesday – it’ll be focused on the centre of town, using our more detailed 1:5000 orienteering map rather than the 1:10000 street-orienteering maps we usually use. It should give chance for everyone to collect more checkpoints than usual, and we expect a number of runners will collect them all: who’ll be fastest?

After Tewkesbury we have two other events before Christmas (in the more traditional MapRun format): these are both on the edges of Cheltenham, in Leckhampton/Charlton Kings on 30 Nov and Pittville on 19 Dec.
