Thanks everyone for coming down to Tewkesbury yesterday – it was a great turnout and pretty good weather!
Thanks to the Nature Reserve for welcoming us, providing us with a large area for junior courses and an assembly field to sit post-run and enjoy the sun. Do go down and visit again – it’s constantly changing through the year. Thanks also to Controller Clive Caffall, and the many people who helped beforehand and on the day.
I hope you enjoyed the courses – I was aiming to give a taste of the variety of Tewkesbury, including quite a long leg for the Blue and Brown courses. It’s an interesting place, and an unusual shape with the houses keeping away from the most flood-prone areas. The water level gave the biggest concerns – earlier in the week there was ankle-deep water at the south end of the Nature Reserve, but by the day of the event it was just a muddy path.
Sorry about the extra sliver on the edge of the map that I should have cropped away (which confused a few Blue and Brown runners on the way to the first control).
Results are now up: it’s been a little tricky mapping the colour-coded courses to the SEOUL categories, so let us know if you see any problems.
