We head back West again for this race, further West than usual in fact, to the hamlet of Kingsthorne, and Aconbury Hill, with its Iron Age hill fort - Aconbury Camp, sometime base for the Royalists during the Civil War, and for the Scots before the siege of Hereford in 1645 - overlooking the surrounding Herefordshire countryside.
Although there have been a couple of informal MapRuns in the Wye Valley Forests, this will be our first series race on the West side of the Wye below Monmouth.
Late information: To allow maximum time to watch the England-Australia rugby match in the clubhouse after your run, the start window will open 30 minutes earlier than planned, at 10:30.
The Western Night League is a series of 60-minute score events, taking place after dark in the winter - headtorches required!
