Kingsthorne takes in both the village and neighbouring Aconbury Hill, site of an ancient hill fort, and with a lovely neywork of well maintained paths which make for a delightful run. Planner Alan Pucill has concentrated quite a few controls around the hill, so you can earn plenty of points with a run up and around there, and then garner what you can in your remaining time through the rather hilly lanes and by-ways of Kingsthorne village itself.
Parking is at the Village hall, where there is a voluntary honesty box where you should pay a small parking charge.
