Typical suburban area, but with lots of footpaths and alleyways, making for a very enjoyable and runnable area. Almost all paths are dry and most well surfaced. There are, however, several main through routes where care is needed when crossing. Access to the car park is one way, from the main A46 Bath Road, just north of the pedestrian lights by Cantina del Barrio. Then from the car park, you need to walk back to the main road, cross at the pedestrian lights, and turn right down to the next road junction, by Parsons bakery. This is to avoid runners trying to cross busy Bath Road immediately after starting their runs.
