Painswick is a delightful little maze of small roads and alleyways, with a broad ring of surrounding countryside footpaths. It sits on a hill, with deep valleys East and West: a full score, if it could be achieved (which is felt to be unlikely) would necessitate going down into both and back up again.
So a physical course, but a very good test of your ability to pick the highest scoring route, and judge your ability to cover the distance required in the time allowed.
