This courses starts on the floodplain by the river, with a few controls on the Wilton side, but then climbs up to the top of the Northern half of the town, giving a lovely run back down into the centre and thence down to the Wilton Road car park. If the weather has been very wet, you need to be wary of the going on the Wilton side, where the river has a habit of overflowing its banks; those controls and a couple of others along the left bank may be best left unvisited if the river is very high. A lovely course, though, planned by Forest of Dean Athletic Cub's Dan Sandford, and a full house there for the taking with a little planning and fast legs.
