There are still a few days left to enter the MapRun Christmas Challenge. It closes on the evening of Friday 6th December, so time enough for a few people to make the target of 9 runs to qualify for some chocolate. Currently leading is Ian Phillips with 7 runs, followed by Cherry Fowler, Si Read and Tim Jones on 5. Tim, not a regular MapRunner, but frequent Fell Runner and one time Beat the Trail runner, when we did those trails pre-Covid, almost certainly qualifies for a special prize, having completed no less than 5 runs today – 2nd January – all of them close on an hour, or more, and some of them – Kingsthorne, Chase and Penyard, Ruardean – far from flat going. Anyone fancy picking up that particular gauntlet?
