BNOC Final Details Published

BNOC Final Details Published

We have now published the final details for the British Nights. They can be found here, or on the British Orienteering website, and an abridged version is available to download here.

There is little change from the earlier outline details – just more detail added – but a couple of important points need to be remembered:

  • We have decided to require that a waterproof jacket be carried regardless of the weather conditions; it removes the risk of people not knowing whether a jacket is required or not, and although not high even by English standards, Cleeve Hill can be pretty bleak.
  • O shoes may not be worn in the clubhouse bar or restaurant. If parked some way away you can bring a change of shoes, and clothing, and can leave them in the changing rooms or on the front verandah of the clubhouse, at the far end above the bib line.

Start times will be published immediately after the final closing date, on Tuesday 23 November.

The weather outlook continues to be fairly good, with dry but possibly foggy weather predicted for the weekend. Let’s hope it stays that way!
