Sadly we have had to postpone tomorrow’s League race at Welshbury. There is only one access track, to one parking option, and the first 150m or so of the track are largely impassable except to 4x4s, following forestry activity over the last 2-3 weeks, and all the recent heavy rain. After that the track is workable, through a bit slippery, but we cannot afford to allow a tail-back onto a narrow and winding country lane in the event that cars fail to get up the first 150m. Of three cars trying this morning, the 4×4 made it easily, one car just made it with great difficulty, the third failed. And of course the state of the track will deteriorate as more cars use it. There is no alternative parking suitable for the courses as planned, so we are looking at rescheduling the current event, or re-planning a wholly new event using a different parking and event setup.
We will keep you posted, and will in due course notify all who have entered, via Fabian, of what options you have for retaining your entry for a rescheduled date, or having a refund.
