Just a reminder that the delayed Mallards Pike race – round 2 of the 2020 NGOC league – is happening this coming Sunday. Entries have been re-opened on Fabian, so you can save yourselves £1, and maybe queueing in the rain to register, by pre-entering up to Friday evening.
For those who received an email from Fabian announcing the postponement, you might perhaps have been a bit baffled if you hadn’t entered for League 2! Fabian treats an event series, like our league, as in effect a multi-day event, and so emails sent out to inform runners about the event go to all runners, not just those who have entered a particular day/race. If we have to send out another email we will make this clear at the time. So if you haven’t pre-entered league 2, ignore the email. If you have, but cant make next Sunday, you should by now have sent us a note, and we will carry your entry fee forward to another race in the series. If you have entered but haven’t told us you cant make it, we will see you on Sunday.
And of course if you are coming but haven’t entered yet – you can do so here:
For Trail runners, the Trail is definitely ON, but you just enter on the day…..turn up and look for the Trail registration desk near the others.
Owing to the change of date we now find ourselves rather short of helpers, so if you are coming and can afford a bit of time to help out, please do drop Kevin a note at NGOC_Volunteers@outlook.com. In particular, neither of the string course regulars can make it, so the string course will sadly be cancelled if no one is able to come forward to set it up and run it.
It’s going to be wet, but it’s going to be fun. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
