If you are coming to Lightning Tree Hill on Saturday for the Middle Distance Race please note that we have added to the Final Details a section on bio-security measures, at FC request. You are required to brush your shoes clean on entering and leaving the area, to keep off log piles as usual, and to avoid walking or running in watercourses!
There will be a shoe cleaning station en route to the Start, so please use it on your way to the start, and again after your run, when you return via the same route.
If coming over the old Severn Bridge, don’t forget to check the bridge status before travelling. Apart from scheduled maintenance closures, which are frequent and not always notified long in advance, the roadworks at the Chepstow end cause frequent holdups, often down to impatient drivers trying to burst into the queueing traffic, and causing accidents.
