NGOC at JK 2022: Day 3

Day 3 at the JK took us across the hills to Pwll Du for the Long Distance race. The terrain was testing with heather and tussocks among the remnants of old mining activity, and courses that ranged in distance up to 16km for the Men’s Elite class as tackled by Rob Finch and Lawrence Jones.

Great results – among others – included Rebecca Ward (8th in W20E), Vanessa Lawson (10th in W50L), Ros Taunton (11th in W70L), Pete Ward (11th in M50L), Pat Macleod (13th on M75L), Bob Teed (13th on M80), Jessica Ward (14th on W16A), Reuben Lawson (14th in M18A) and Seth Lawson (18th in M16A).

Full results are available here.

Thanks to South Wales Orienteering Club for putting on today’s event! Now there’s just one day left to go: Easter Monday’s relays at Caerwent. Good luck to our nine teams entered across the age categories.
