Thanks to everyone who made it to the Painswick MapRun yesterday – after a wet day, we were rewarded with a well-timed gap in the rain!
I was pleased to see people taking a variety of strategies between village and countryside, with every control visited by at least one runner. The aim was to have a good number of points available in Painswick, and some high-scoring controls further out to tempt the faster runners. It’ll be a tricky course to get close to 600 – 420 by Richard Cronin was the top score yesterday – but scores in the 500s should be achievable.
Sign-up is now available on Fabian4 for the next set of MapRuns, starting with Robinswood on 27 May, and continuing with Frampton on WED 2 June.
