Thanks to Pat Macleod for organising this evening’s MapRun on the northern edge of the Forest of Dean. It was a new location for many of today’s runners, and I think all were impressed by the course, the views from Pan Tod Beacon, and the perfect sunshine. There was a bit of everything out there: hills, roads, paths, trails, fields and woods.
Richard Cronin was the only runner to collect all controls, but was a little late, achieving a score of 580/600. A perfect score definitely looks possible!
- Our next event will be the last of our light-evening summer events: on 9 September in Springbank, Cheltenham.
- In October the winter night series will begin: confirmed venues so far include Chepstow, Newent, Tewkesbury, Dursley, Bishop’s Cleeve, Quedgeley, Hatherley and Charlton Kings. We’ll have more details soon.
