Entries have now closed for the Caddihoe Weekend, but we have a huge turnout, and provided Storm Agnes passes through as forecast, a dry and warm weekend in prospect.
We have made a couple of small updates to the final details, summarised here:
- We have managed to engage two food traders for the weekend, but due to licencing issues they will be located in the car park, and not the arena. There is little or no phone service there either, so cash will be needed to buy refreshments. If you have room for one, a bike might be very useful in commuting between car park and arena. The Day 1 route is the same as the pedestrian one, while the day 2 one involves a longer detour to avoid a section of narrow off track footpath. It will be signposted.
- We have added details of the locations of the string courses, which will be open from 10:30 to 14:30 each day.
Finally, just a reminder that there is a fair bit of walking involved between cars and event, so allow yourselves plenty of time, and try not to miss your start times. The popular courses – Short Brown to Short Green – are very busy in the middle part of the start window, so you may face a long wait for a start slot if you miss yours.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone, and we hope to offer a challenging but sociable weekend of orienteering.
